- What do I need to get started with XSNsports.com?
You must have the following ready before you get started:
- An Xbox video game console
- An XSN Sports video game
- An Xbox Live™ account and gamertag (The Xbox Live service requires a broadband Internet connection.)
- A computer with Internet access
- A Microsoft® .NET Passport
- How do I sign in to XSNsports.com?
If you already have a Microsoft® .NET Passport account, great! Use that e-mail address and password to sign in to XSNsports.com (that’s the site you’re visiting right now).
Or
If you don't have a .NET Passport account yet, get one! It's fast, easy, and best of all... it makes it possible for you to enter XSNsports.com! All you have to do is:
- Click the Sign In icon in the upper-left corner of any XSNsports.com page.
- On the .NET Passport Sign-In page that appears, click the Get one now link.
- From there, follow the handy-dandy wizard that will guide you through the painless process of setting up your very own .NET Passport.
- When you have your Passport all set up, go to www.xbox.com, where you'll link your gamertag to your Passport.
- Finally, go back to XSNsports.com where you'll be signed up and ready to go. Simple, right? So, get to it!
- What's the difference between all these play styles?
A season is a competition in which opponents play through a regular season schedule. The top competitors advance to a single-elimination playoff, which ends in a championship game.
A tournament is a competition in which opponents are placed in a single-elimination bracket. Winners advance to subsequent rounds until a champion is determined.
A tour is a series of four single-elimination tournaments. You earn points for each round you complete.
- How many games will I play in a season or tournament?
The number of games you will end up playing in a season or tournament depends on how many games you win and the number of gamers participating.
For single-elimination tournaments with:
- Four gamers you can play up to two games
- Eight gamers you can play up to three games
- Sixteen gamers you can play up to four games
- Thirty-two gamers you can play up to five games
For seasons with:
- Four gamers you will play six regular season games and additional playoff games depending on series length
- Eight gamers you will play 10 regular season games and additional playoff games depending on series length
- Sixteen gamers you will play 14 regular season games and additional playoff games depending on series length
- Thirty-two gamers you will play 16 regular season games and additional playoff games depending on series length
