The first step in scheduling league games is to identify what games need to be played during a given week. The fastest way to check on this is to access the
Schedule link on the navigation menu. You can then identify what weeks are currently being played & correspondingly, who your opponents are for the week.
After identifying your opponents for a given week, you should log in to the CSL Forums & visit the Scheduling League Games forum. All games are to be scheduled in this forum. This serves two purposes. First, it will ensure that all owners are browsing the forums on a regular basis. Secondly, it will allow the League Commissioner to view the conversation going on between the two owners regarding game scheduling in case a dispute should arise.
The first thing you should do when attempting to schedule a game is to scan Scheduling League Games forum or use the forum search function to search for your team's name. This will allow you to see whether or not your opponent has already started a thread for your game. If it hasn't already been started, then you should start one. If it is already started, be sure to respond to your opponent so you can schedule your game together.
To make it easier for everyone to read. The titles for your messages when scheduling games should follow the following format:
Note that the teams mascot (i.e., Giants, Rams, Titans, etc.) are used to identify the two teams involved in the match. The locations of the teams (i.e., New York, St. Louis, Tennessee, etc.) or any slang terms for teams (i.e., Jags, Bucs, Philly, etc.) will not be acceptable. This will make it a lot easier for all of us to identify our games at a glance when browsing these forums. All communications regarding scheduling the game should occur under your game's thread. Do not start another thread for the same game.
Duplicate & mistitled threads will be deleted without warning. Properly naming your threads allow us to use the search function on the forums to search for our teams and/or opponents & quickly identify messages we need to respond to.
Owners should contact one another no later than midnight on Wednesday of a given game week to schedule games. All scheduling conversations should take place on the CSL Forums under Scheduling League Games. Owners who do not respond by midnight on Wednesday of the given game week will be penalized with a forfeit for the games scheduled for that given week.
If games cannot be completed by end of the scheduled game week (i.e, Sunday), both owners need to contact the Commissioner with an explanation of their given situation no later than midnight on Wednesday of the given game week. The Commissioner will then decide what the best plan of action to take is for your given situation. In extreme cases, teams will be given the opportunity to make up games during the next week of play. If neither team responds in the forums, the game will be simulated & both owners will be penalized for not completing their game(s) on time. Owners who are forced to forfeit games on multiple occasions without good reason will be penalized. Repeat offenses will result in an owner's dismissal from the league.
